On behalf of a cooperative of School Districts in Nassau County, the Board of Education of the Massapequa Union Free School District, Massapequa, New York, in accordance with Section 103 of General Municipal Law, hereby invites the submission of sealed bids from reputable and qualified contractors for the provision of materials for the following contract: PAINT & PAINTING SUPPLIES This is a cooperative bid. Participating school districts are as follows: Baldwin UFSD; Bellmore UFSD; Bellmore-Merrick CHSD; Bethpage UFSD; Carl Place UFSD; East Rockaway UFSD; East Williston UFSD; Floral Park -Bellrose UFSD; Freeport UFSD; Garden City UFSD; Glen Cove City SD; Great Neck UFSD; Hempstead; Herricks UFSD; Hewlett-Woodmere UFSD; Hicksville UFSD; Island Tret,s UFSD; Jericho UFSD; Levittown UFSD; Locust Valley UFSD; Long Beach City SD; Lynbrook UFSD; Manhasset UFSD; Massapequa UFSD; Merrick UFSD; Mineola UFSD; NHP-GCP UFSD; North Bellmore UFSD; North Merrick UFSD; North Shore CSD; Plainedge UFSD; Plainview-Old Bethpage CSD; Port Washington UFSD; Rockville Centre UFSD; Roosevelt UFSD; Seaford UFSD; Syosset CSD; Valley Stream 24 UFSD; Valley Stream 30 UFSD; Valley Stream CHSD; Wantagh UFSD and West Hempstead UFSD (collectively referred to as the "Cooperative"). Bids for the term of July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024 Bids must be presented on the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and as required by the specifications. All bids must be enclosed in sealed envelopes which are clearly marked on the outside: "Massapequa Union Free School District- Cooperative Bid for Paint & Painting Supplies Contract." Bids shall remain firm for a period of forty-five (45) days following the date of the bid opening. Each Board of Education reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any or all bids, or to accept that bid which, in the Board of Education's judgment, is in the best interest of the School District. The Boards of Education further reserve the right to consider experience, service and reputation in the above-referenced fields. In addition, the Boards of Education reserve the right to consider the financial responsibility and specific qualifications, set forth in the bid specifications, of the prospective bidder in evaluation of the bids and award of the contracts.
