Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Belleville, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The proposed improvement consists of removal of the existing roadway, curbing, sidewalk, and driveway; removal, adjusting, and altering existing storm sewer; constructing new PCC pavement, ADA compliant sidewalks and driveways, curb and gutter; pavement striping; placing incidental hot-mix asphalt; block wall construction; and performance of other related and appurtenant work. The contractor must be pre-qualified with the Illinois Department of Transportation and must also furnish a current certificate of eligibility in order to bid on this project. The contractor will be required to enter into a project labor agreement. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as found by the County or the Department of Labor, or determined by the Court on review, shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Bid Bond as required in the bid documents. No Bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the actual date of opening thereof. The City of Belleville reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or technicalities in the bidding.
