Renovation of a mixed-use development in Chesnee, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Spartanburg School District Two (hereinafter, "the District") invites all qualified providers to submit sealed bids for boiler replacement at Mayo Elementary and Boiling Springs Elementary, Boiling Springs Middle School, and Chesnee Middle School complying with the enclosed description and/or specifications and conditions for this solicitation. Spartanburg County School District 2 is located in the northwestern part of Spartanburg County, and includes the Town of Chesnee and the communities of Boiling Springs, Fingerville, and Mayo. A small portion of the District is located in Cherokee County. The District encompasses a land area of approximately 134 square miles. The District is made up of 2 high schools, 1 Freshman Academy, 3 middle schools, and 9 elementary schools. The District currently has an annual budget of over $104 million, and over 11,000 students including pre-K, and employs approximately 1,250 employees. Questions must be received by : March 13th, 2023 It is the intent of Spartanburg School District Two (hereinafter referred to as the "District") to solicit bids for boiler replacements at Mayo Elementary, Boiling Springs Elementary, Boiling Springs Middle, and Chesnee Middle School. Mayo Elementary - Remove 1 Burnham boiler and replace with 2 Lochinvar Crest (FBN0751) condensing natural gas boilers 750,000 BTU per hour. Installation of by-pass chemical feeder. Boiling Springs Elementary - Remove 1 Weil McLain boiler and install 1 Lochinvar Crest Condensing natural gas boiler - option 1 - 2,500,000 BTU per hour (FBN2501), or option 2 - 2,000,000 BTU per hour (FBN2001). Boiling Springs Middle School - Remove 1 Weil McLain boiler and install 1 Lochinvar Crest condensing natural gas boilers - option 1 - 4,000,000 BTU per hour (FBN4001), or option 2 - 3,500,000 BTU per hour (FBN3501). Chesnee Middle School - Remove 2 Weil McLain boilers and replace with 2 Lochinvar Crest (FBN1501) condensing natural gas boilers 1,500,000 BTU per hour General Specifications for all of these jobs include: 1. Include Neutralization kit for drain 2. Gas regulators 3. Bell and Gossett Circulating pumps 4. Demo old boilers and piping for new connections 5. New piping as required to be 40 black steel with welded or groove fittings 6. Gas piping to be schedule 40 black steel welded or threaded pipe 7. Insulation to be 1-1/2 inch fiberglass with ASJ covering and PVC vinyl coverings for all fittings 8. All electrical and control hook ups included 9. All exhaust venting and any roof penetration to be included, utilize existing where possible 10. Remove and dispose of old boilers 11. Hook up gas, water, electrical as required 12. Utilize existing control wiring, if possible, any new control wiring to be provided by owner 13. No asbestos allowed 14. Ensure emergency stop function if existing. If boiler e-stop does not exist - installation required. 15. These are turnkey jobs with manufacturing support startup This solicitation does not commit Spartanburg School District Two to award a contract, to pay any costs incurred in preparation of a bid, nor to procure any services that may be offered. INSTALLATION: These projects will be installed over Summer Break 2023, to be completed by August 2, 2023.
