EPDM Roof Replacement Contract on occupied Park District building totaling approximately 14,000 square feet. All Bids shall be on a Lump Sum basis; Unit and Time/Material pricing shall be required for repair of latent defects. The Work shall proceed on August 14, 2023 and be complete no later than September 4, 2023 and shall be completed within the amount of consecutive business days stated on the Bid Form. Any non-bidder returning Documents in good condition 7 or more days prior to the Bid opening shall receive a partial refund of $50. Non-compliance will cause forfeiture of deposit. Bid Security in the amount of 10 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accord with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidder prequalification consists of providing affidavits confirming that their company has been in continuous and successful business for the previous five years under the same name and in the current practiced trade and providing affidavits that they can receive a manufacturer's warranty for 20 years from Johns Manville Corporation, Elevate, Carlisle SynTec, or a similar major manufacturer. The Contract shall include a prevailing wage provision. The Owner reserves the right to exercise discretion to waive informalities in the bidding, to reject any or all Bids, and to select the Bid in the best interests of the Park District. If the District finds reason to disqualify or reject the apparent low Bidder, the Park District reserves the right to award the Contract to the next lowest responsible Bidder, or to rebid the entire Project, or to cancel the Project. The Huntley Park District will not be liable in any way for any costs incurred by respondents in replying to this bid.
