Renovation of a day care center in Springfield, Missouri. Working plans call for the renovation of a day care center.

As of March 9th, 2023 - this project has been cancelled. The bidder should present a detailed description of all services proposed in the response to this solicitation. It is the bidder's responsibility to make sure all services proposed are adequately described in order to conduct an evaluation of the bid to insure its compliance with mandatory technical specifications. It should not be assumed that the evaluator has specific knowledge of the services proposed; however, the evaluator does have sufficient technical background to conduct an evaluation when presented complete information. The Contractor shall furnish bonds covering faithful performance of the contract and payment of obligations arising there under. Bonds may be obtained through the Contractor's usual source and the cost thereof shall be included in the contract sum Questions Deadline: 3/10/2023 03:00 PM (CT) Provide all labor and materials to replace the roof system for Arthur Mallory Early Childhood Center. The District provides education for over 24,000 students in K-12 and is the largest district in Missouri. Its boundaries cover over 138 square miles and encompass the City of Springfield, Missouri and parts of the City of Battlefield and Greene County. The District's facilities currently include the following: 29 elementary schools (K-5), 2 elementary schools (K-4), 6 middle schools (6-8), 1 intermediate school (5-6), 4 combination schools (K-8), 5 high schools (9-12), and 6 early childhood centers. In addition to these school buildings, the District has a center for gifted education and a center for alternative education. The District owns and maintains six support facilities providing administrative, operational, and educational services. All Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the Pre-bid Meeting. Prior to the Pre-bid Meeting bidders shall review the complete solicitation including any attachments and come to the meeting with prepared questions. An opportunity will be made available to visit the work sites immediately following the Pre-bid Meeting. Bidders shall carefully examine the specifications (including attachments and scope of work) and review work sites. Failure to do so will be at the bidder's risk. 1The contractor will comply with Section 290.250 RSMo by paying, to all personnel employed for applicable services actually provided under the contract, not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Division of Labor Standards, specified in the current Annual Wage Order for Greene County. 1.2The contractor will forfeit to the District one-hundred dollars ($100) for each person employed, for each calendar day, or a portion thereof, such person is paid less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages for any applicable work done under the contract by the contractor or by any subcontractor under them (Section 290.250 RSMo). 1.3The contractor and all subcontractors to the contract will require all on-site employees to complete the ten-hour construction safety training program required under Section 292.675 RSMo, unless they have previously completed the program and have all documentation of having doing so. 1.4The contractor will forfeit a penalty to the District of $2,500 plus an additional $100 for each employee employed by the contractor or subcontractor, for each calendar day, or portion thereof, such employee is employed without the required training. (Section 292.675 RSMo) 1.5In addition to the above, the contractor will comply with all other requirements pertaining to the payment of prevailing wages contained in Section 290.210 through 290.340, RSMo. The contractor is advised to review the requirements carefully prior to beginning work. 1.6The prevailing wage rates incorporated as part of this document by Annual Wage Order No. 26 (attached) will remain in effect for the duration of the initial contract period.Upon entering into any renewals or extensions to this contract, the Contractor will be required to pay prevailing wages in accordance with the current Annual Wage Order in effect as of the date at the start of the new contract term. 1.7The bidder is advised that prior to submitting a bid, the bidder should review the annual wage order for the county in which the work is to be done. The Contractor shall be paid, Net 30, upon completion of work and acceptance of work by the District; and upon presentation of proper invoice. The District will pay only for work authorized and completed as such work is accepted by the District. The District reserves the right to consider cooperative contracts, federal, state, municipal, etc. during the evaluation process. The District may utilize a cooperative contract in lieu of making an award to this solicitation if it is in the best interest of the District. Quantities provided are estimates only. The District reserves the right to increase and/or decrease quantities. Final payment shall not become due until the Contractor returns keys and swipe cards and submits to the Owner releases and waivers of liens, warranties, operating and maintenance manuals, product certificates, as-builts and data establishing payment or satisfaction of obligations, such as receipts, claims, security interests, or encumbrances arising out of the Contract.
