For the construction of approximately 21,500 LF of 3" CL 250 PVC, 4,500 LF of 6" CL 250 PVC and related appurtenances. Unsuccessful bidders will be refunded 100% of the plan deposit for one set returned to the Engineer, in reusable condition, within 10 days after the bid opening. Additional sets obtained shall be refunded 50% of the plan deposit. All non-bidders, subcontractors, vendors or dealers shall be refunded 50% of the plan deposit for each set returned to the Engineer, in reusable condition, within 10 days after the bid opening. The plan deposit amount as indicated above is in accordance with Alabama Act No. 97-225 relating to the competitive bid laws for public works. All Bidders must comply with the requirements of the State Licensing Board for General Contractors (Latest Edition) and with the Alabama Act No. 97-225 (Title 39, Code of Alabama, 1975 as amended) relating to competitive bid laws for public works. All Bidders must be properly licensed in accordance with the requirements of the State Licensing Board for General Contractors (Chapter 8, Title 34, Code of Alabama, 1975 or latest). BIDS received by the CLEBURNE COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY herein called the "OWNER"), at office of the Cleburne County Water Authority, 2531 Highway 46 East, Heflin, AL 36264, and then at publicly opened and read aloud. Each BID must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Cleburne County Water Authority. Each sealed envelope containing BID must be plainly marked on the outside as BID for "Water Line Extensions Along County Roads 283, 71, 26, 36, 827, 84 and 444" and the envelope should bear on the outside the name, Address, license number, Project name of the BIDDER for which the BID is submitted. If forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the BID must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to the OWNER at 6751 Highway 78, Heflin, AL 36264. BIDDERS must include their license number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing the BID, as well as on the BID Proposal Form. Any BID received which does not contain the license number on the outside of the sealed envelope will not be considered by the OWNER and will be returned unopened to the BIDDER.
