The materials shall be surfacing aggregate 22A. Materials shall be stockpiled and placed as directed by the Owner at each respective pit. All measurements of quantities shall be determined by belt scales. The Owner shall require scales to be certified. Any other measurement method shall not be used without the written permission of the Owner. 6. The following unit prices shall be payment in full for producing and stockpiling the estimated quantity of surfacing aggregate 22A at the pit indicated. Pulled sand is incidental to the price of 22A. 7. A primary crusher is recommended to be used in the processing of the 22A gravel. 8. The bidder has inspected the site noted below and understands the location for the excavation and the stockpiling of the surfacing aggregates. 9. The surfacing aggregates are deposited into the stockpile using a conveyor, the contractor will strike off and compact the stockpile in lifts no greater than 4' as the stockpile increases in height. 10. To obtain 22A gravel, sand may have to be pulled which shall be incidental to the price of 22A. The pulled sand quantity is only an estimate for bidding purposes. The successful bidder shall have equipment to "pull sand" while producing the 22A Gravel.
