This is just a brief summary of the proposed work. Detailed documents are part of this bid package and need to be thoroughly reviewed for the bidding of this project. The scope of work consists of a completely new building Generator & Transfer Switch System and all associated work. Include all restoration of the site after installation of the generator system and utilities is completed. Work shall include the furnishing of all the necessary skilled labour, materials, material testing, and all the equipment necessary for the conversion of an existing natural turf playing field to a complete, new, vertically draining, infilled synthetic turf playing field system. Demolition and haul-off of the existing turf surface and subgrade preparation to meet new grades at tolerances described herein Installation of the subgrade drainage collection system. Installation of the synthetic turf drainage base layer to meet tolerances described herein Provide complete infilled synthetic turf system. Bidders are fully responsible for paying laborers prevailing wage in accordance with the most recent wage schedules published by the U. S. Department of labour. The Owner and Architect bear no responsibility for ensuring a bidder's compliance with prevailing wage requirements. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any irregularities in bidding, or to accept the lowest responsible proposal that in the opinion of the Owner will serve the best interest of the Owner. The Owner will not be obligated to accept the lowest proposal. The Owner further reserves the right to approve all subcontractors. The Owner shall have the right to reject any or all Bids and to reject a bid. Each proposal must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the basic proposal. Guarantee shall be in the form of a money order, certified check or bid bond executed by an approved surety company, made payable to Alma Public Schools, Proposal guarantee shall run for a period of sixty (60) days. Successful bidder will be required to furnish a "performance bond" and a "labour and material payment bond", each bond in the amount of 100% of his contract, as required in the "instruction to Bidders". A surety bond is required and shall be written on AIA Document A310, Bid Bond, and the attorney-in-fact who executes the bond on behalf of the surety shall affix to the bond a certified and current copy of his power of attorney.
