Scope of Work - The project consists of furnishing and installing approximately 11,090 PVC C900 linear feet of sanitary sewer force main along the west, north, and east of Country Club Drive from William Lehman Causeway to Yacht Club Way. The pipe installation method will be via open-cut; however, the project will also contain connections to existing sewer force mains; making cut in and cap to an existing sewer force main. The work shall also include the furnishing and installation of all fittings, restraints, valves, connections at both ends of the pipe's route, clearing and grubbing of existing vegetation, milling, re-surfacing, pavement restoration and maintenance of traffic. Project Location - Along William Lehman Causeway and Yacht Club Way from W Country Club Drive to Turnberry Way, Aventura, FL 33180 Estimated Range of the Base Bid - $5,509,820 to $6,666,578, not including contingency and dedicated allowances. Project Duration: 449 Calendar Days to Final Completion, plus a 45 day contingency period. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. This contract has Small Business Enterprise (SBE) goals as follows: Construction 9.20%, Goods 1.02%. Goals are based on the construction estimate plus the 10% Contingency Allowance. This contract has a 0.00% Community Workforce Program goal. The contractor will need to comply with Section 2-11.17 of the MDC Code, inclusive of all amendments, including the apprentice and on-the-job training requirements. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by a bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful contractor must execute a one hundred (100%) Surety Performance and Payment Bonds. NO BIDDER MAY WITHDRAW HIS BID WITHIN 120 DAYS FROM BID OPENING DATE. The County has allocated certain funds for this project. Should the amounts bid exceed expected levels, the Department reserves the right to either reduce quantities and/or delete elements of the work while proceeding at the prices bid or reject bids and readvertise at its sole option. The Board of County Commissioners, Miami-Dade County, Florida, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid or to re-advertise for bids. Bids from any person, firm or Corporation in default on other contracts or agreements with the County may be rejected. Failure by the Bidder to satisfy claims on previous contracts with the County may be cause for rejection of his bid. The County reserves the right to postpone or cancel the bid opening at any time prior to the scheduled opening of bids.
