Site work for a water / sewer project in Vernon, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Work can be briefly summarized as follows: The Project consists of replacing the existing undersized storm sewer with a larger 450mm diameter PVC sewer. New manholes will replace the existing ones. Existing services will be connected to the new main, and backflow prevention will be installed on select services. The discharge location of the storm sewer is being diverted down an existing channel which will require outlet and inlet structures along with earthworks to create a diffusion berm and interceptor ditch. Replacement of the existing storm sewer including new outlet and inlet structures. 1. Approximately 150m of 450mm diameter PVC storm sewer, 2. Replacement of existing manholes with new manholes, 3. Installation of service backflow preventers, 4. Reconnection of existing storm services to new main, 5. Installation of pre-cast concrete inlet and outlet structures with rip-rap, 6.
