Site work and paving for a civil project in London, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The work includes supplying all labour, equipment and materials to install heavy wall plastic tile shoulder drains on both sides of the roads at locations designated by the County. Outlet pipes will be installed by the County. The sub-drain shall be 100 mm (4") diameter perforated plastic tubing of a minimum weight of 175 grams/ft. 2. The tile shall be installed by plowing to a minimum depth of 500 mm at a location 1.0 m. from proposed edge of pavement or as set by the County. Minimum grades shall be 0.25% and grades shall be set using a laser where pavement grades are flat. 3. These roads will be resurfaced after the drains are installed. However, effort must be made by the contractor to avoid damaging existing pavement. Any excessive damage caused by the contractor during sub drain installation shall be re-instated prior to final paving. 4. Low points in the grade are to be marked by the Contractor. 5. The County will be responsible for restoring the gravel shoulder. Award is subject to final approval.
