The Port of Corpus Christi Authority (PCCA) is currently accepting bids for Demolition of Railcar. Scope of work generally consists of preparing for disposal of a railcar (located adjacent to Rincon Road) by demolishing and containing the railcar and associated debris in a method that prevents the spread of lead dust and/or debris to the surrounding areas or the environment. Contractor is required to establish air monitoring and appropriate worker protections during demolition and containment activities due to the presence of lead. Railcar is not to be thermally cut or recycled. This is a lump sum contract. Bidder must submit a bid bond or cashier's check for 5% of the total amount of the bid. Performance and Payment Bonds are required when the successful bidder executes this contract, each for 100% of the total contract amount.
