Renovation of a water / sewer project in Swanzey, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The City is replacing two (2) existing primary sludge pumps, installing one (1) new dual purpose primary sludge/scum pump, replacing the one (1) existing secondary scum pump, and replacing the one (1) existing RV waste pump at the wastewater treatment facility (WWTF) due to the existing pumps having reached the end of their useful life. The City also wishes to install one (1) new variable frequency drive (VFD) for the dual purpose primary sludge/scum pump which shall also be sole sourced in accordance with Specification Section 16481. Questions regarding this project shall be directed to Purchasing & Contract Services Manager, in writing, via the current project database The Base Bid project includes installation of the following: Demolition of five (5) existing pumps and appurtenances. o Two (2) new progressive cavity primary sludge pumps in the Primary Pump Room. o One (1) new dual purpose progressive cavity primary sludge/scum pump in the Primary Pump Room. o One (1) new progressive cavity secondary scum pump in the Waste Return Pump Room. o One (1) new progressive cavity waste pump in the Septage Receiving Building. Demolition of two (2) existing duplex plunger primary sludge pumps and pads in the Primary Pump Room. b. Demolition of one (1) existing duplex plunger primary scum pump and pad in the Primary Pump Room. c. Demolition of suction and discharge piping, fittings, and valves in the Primary Pump Room as shown in the Contract Drawings. d. Demolition of the existing 4" primary scum discharge pipe from the Primary Pump Room to edge of the Sludge Storage Tank as shown in the Contract Drawings. e. Installation of two (2) new progressive cavity primary sludge pumps and pads in the Primary Pump Room. f. Installation of one (1) new dual purpose progressive cavity primary sludge/scum pump and pad in the Primary Pump Room. g. Installation of new suction and discharge piping, fittings, and valves in the Primary Pump Room as shown in the Contract Drawings. h.
