Brain Imaging Center in the Li Ka Shing Center on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley intends to replace an existing Siemens 3T MRI with a new Siemens 3T MRI. The primary rooms affected by this scope of work include B100E (Control Room), B100EA (Magnet Room), and B100F (Equipment Room). The campus seeks a design builder to design and construct the necessary room improvements and infrastructure extensions to accommodate the installation of the new MRI and support equipment, The basis of design is Siemens Magnetom 3T Prisma. Removal of the existing MRI equipment and installation of the new MRI and equipment is the responsibility of Siemens. In addition to designing and constructing/demolishing/restoring select building components and systems in order facilitate removal of the existing MRI, the design builder will provide support to the Siemens team during the installation and connection of the new MRI. The University reserves the right to reject any or all responses to Prequalification Questionnaires and any or all proposals and to waive non-material irregularities in any response or proposal received.
