The Board of County Commissioners of Coffey County will accept sealed Bids for "Liquid Asphalt 2023 Chip seal Program. The Envelope should be plainly marked on the out Chip Seal Program. The cover sheet for the electronic bid or subject line on an email should be plainly marked with "Liquid Asphalt 2023 Chip Seal Program." All bids shall meet or exceed the Kansas Department of Transportation Standard Specification. The price per gallon shall include any pump charge and three hours free unloading time. There shall be no returned freight on any unused material due to a change in weather or equipment failure. Any returned material shall be credited to Coffey County, Kansas. Full transport loads will be ordered and shall be delivered to the job site in Coffey County. Loads that arrive more than 15 minutes late at the designated location will be back charged at a rate of $62.50 for each 15 minutes late after the first 15 minutes of the agreed upon arrival time, unless Coffey County is notified. Any bid with deviation from the stated specifications may not be considered valid. Bidders shall utilize the Specification/Proposal Sheet in the submission of their bid. The Board of County Commissioners of Coffey County reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids and the right to waive any or all informalities or irregularities therein.
