Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
In general, the work consists of: constructing a riprap slope to reinforce a portion of an existing stacked stone wall adjacent to the Ice Age Trail in Potawatomi State Park. There will be some clearing, removal, and reuse of existing stone. The adjacent Ice Age Trail will be resurfaced with asphalt pavement, and restoration of the existing turf area.41 A copy of WDNR Permit IP-Lake Shore Erosion Control Docket # IP-NE-2022-15-02957 is provided in the Bid Documents. No in-water work can take place annually between March 15 or ice-out, whichever is earlier and July 1 to protect fish spawning, movement and egg incubation periods. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin prevailing wage laws.1 Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply.2 These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not3 affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements.
