The successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price for a period of one (1) year after its completion and formal acceptance by the City Council. b. The City of Iowa City is to be listed on the required insurance certificate, as an additional insured on a primary and non-contributory basis. Review this requirement with your insurance broker prior to bidding. Taxes: a. Sales Tax Exemption Certificates will be issued according to Section 1020, 1.08 of the Supplemental Specifications. The successful bidder and all of its subcontractors are required to submit at least four (4) days prior to award three (3) references involving similar projects, including at least one municipal reference. Award of the bid or use of specific subcontractors may be denied if sufficient favorable references are not verified or based on past experience on projects with the City of Iowa City. b.
