Base Bid: - The project consists principally of the replacement of existing submersible pumps with new submersible pumps (provided by the owner), piping, valves and other fixtures. The project also includes installation of a new pump control panel, portable generator connection, concrete pad, tapping sleeve and valve, and quick connection for bypass pumping. The successful bidder(s) must self-perform at a minimum 50% of the contracted work. Bids must be made in writing on the forms furnished and shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid in accordance with the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. The Town of Walworth is exempt under New York State Tax law, and therefore, no sales tax on the Town of Walworth cost of materials incorporated into the project shall be included in the bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and labor and material bonds in accordance with the The Town of Walworth reserves the right to consider bids for forty-five (45) days after the receipt before awarding any contract. The Town of Walworth further reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to accept any Proposal or individual item or items, which it may deem to be the most favorable to its best interests.
