Purpose of Procurement Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) is being issued to establish a contract with a qualified supplier who will provide Georgia Highlands College Janitorial Services to Georgia Highlands College (the State Entity) as further described in this eRFP. Georgia Highlands College is requesting proposals for Janitorial Services for four campuses. Campuses are located in Cartersville, Dallas, and Rome. Georgia Highlands College may award multiple vendors. Introduction 1.1 College History Georgia Highlands College (GHC) currently uses a custodial supplier for our janitorial cleaning. This institution is part of the University System of Georgia. Georgia Highlands College opened in 1970. Georgia Highlands College consist of 4 campuses (Rome, Heritage Hall, Cartersville, and Dallas) with a total of 14 buildings totaling 509,515 cleanable square feet. The student population of GHC is approximately 4500. These campuses employ approximately 330 full-time faculty and staff. General Scope of Procurement The Supplier will manage contracted custodial service operations. The Supplier will follow APPA Level II standards by providing a sufficient number of employees based on cleanable space, frequency, and surface types, and by using appropriate cleaning equipment and resources to meet this specification. These required tasks will encompass routine, repetitive and specialized cleaning functions. The selected Supplier will complete all of the duties within this document for the life of the agreed-upon contract; at no time will any duties as outlined in this proposal be shared or subcontracted out by the Supplier. The renewal and pricing will be negotiated annually at least 60 days prior to the new term, which shall run July 1 - June 30.
