Site work and paving for a road / highway in Hazard, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
**Per Addendum 1 the bid date has been extended from 03/15/23 to 03/16/23** The project consists of a large deep-seated slide located at Nascar Lane in the Bonnyman community, in Perry County. A residential area has been eliminated by the slide, and it threatens access to residences in community and the drain below. This slide is located in Perry County. To access the site from downtown Hazard, take highway 15 in a northwestern direction approximately 4.5 miles until reaching Nascar Lane. Turn left and travel approximately 1000 feet until reaching the slide area. The coordinates to the slide area are 3717'19.72"N, 8314'8.84"W. The primary slide abatement planned, includes construction of three (3) retaining walls (Walls A, B, & C); a fourth (4th) retaining wall, Wall D, is called for to ensure access during normal reclamation activities and to provide long-term access to the community once reclamation is complete.
