Sealed Bids are sought and requested by the Summit Board of Education (hereinafter cal led "Owner"), for WINDOW REPLACEMENT AND MASONRY REPAIRS AT BRAYTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL; together with all work incidental thereto, in accordance with Draw- ings and Specifications prepared by EI Associates, 8 Ridgedale Avenue, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927. Project Name: BRAYTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: WINDOW REPLACEMENT AND MASONRY REPAIRS Description of Contract: Single Overall Contract. id proposals for the above Contract will be received from Bidders regis- tered with the Division of Revenue and Department of Labor. All Bidders pro- posing to Bid shall be classified in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-27, as to the character and amount of public work on which they shall be qualified to submit a Bid by the Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC). Bidders shall submit with the Bid current prequal- ification certificates issued by the DPMC for one of the following classifica- tions: C008 General Construction or C009 General Construction/Alterations and Additions or C012 Windows In addition, if the Bidder has a Classification of only C012, then the Bidder is required to submit with the Bid, current prequalification certificates issued to the Bidder or its subcontractor by the DPMC and NJSDA, for the following Specialty Trade(s): General Construction C008 or General Construction/Alterations and Additions C009 Each Bidder shall also be registered pursuant to the Public Works Contrac- tor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. and shall provide a valid and current registration certificate with its Bid as to the bidder and all sub- contractors. Any Bid submitted without a copy of valid and active prequalification/classi- fication certificates may be rejected as non-responsive to the Bid require- ments. Each Bidder shall submit with its bid, a Consent of Surety as per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25 from a Surety company licensed to write business in the State of New Jersey, stating that the Surety will provide the successful bidder and its subcontractors with a performance/payment bond in the full amount of the contract.
