For Water Service Line Material Verification Program Sealed bids for the Water Service Line Material Verification Program will be receiveBidders shall review and comply with the Instructions to Bidders, which are incorporated by reference, and carefully review all Contract Documents, as defined in the Instructions to Bidders. Bids submitted after the exact time specified for, receipt will not be considered. The Contracts will consist of the following principal items of work and appurtenances as specified herein and shown on the Contract Drawings.d at the Office of the City Clerk, City of Petoskey, 101 E. Lake Street, Petoskey, MI 49770 until 11:00 a.m., Local Time on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the City of Petoskey which the bids will be opened and reviewed. The bid opening is open to the public. NO BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 11:00 AM. Questions must be received four days prior to bid opening to be considered. Please submit your bid in a sealed envelope clearly marked with "City of Petoskey - Water Service Line Material Verification". The name of the company submitting the bid must also be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope. Proposals submitted by Bidders who have been debarred, suspended, or made ineligible by any Federal Agency will be rejected. Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner, the Architect/Engineer, and their respective employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation, or recommendation of any bid. Each bid proposal shall be submitted on the proposal forms provided and shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond, executed by the bidder and Surety Company, payable to the City of Petoskey in the amount of Five Percent (5%) of the accompanying bid. Proposal Guarantee shall provide assurance that the bidder will, upon acceptance of the bid, execute the necessary Contract with the City of Petoskey. No bid may be withdrawn after scheduled closing time for receiving bids for at least sixty (60) days. A pdf version of this Bid Deposit must be included with your Bid Submission Response. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance, Labor and Material, and Maintenance and Guarantee Bonds in the amount of 100% of the project and to provide proof of Workers Compensation and Public Liability insurances prior to award. Bidders acknowledge that no contract is created until a written contract is approved by the City Council and executed by the City. The City is allowed to perform additional investigation after Council action and prior to execution of the actual contract. The City of Petoskey reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to award the bidder whose bid best serves the interest of the City.
