Site work for a water / sewer project in Riverside, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Additional Scope Included: 1. Repair all landscape disturbed by irrigation installation, mobilization and demobilization activities. Utilize Sportsfield Bermudagrass Hydroseed (Code - HS) for turf repairs. Include soil amendments. 2. Procure and pay for permits required for connection of new storm drain line to existing City owned catch basin. 3. It's understood that hydroseed will take up to 12 weeks or more to establish. a. Temporary orange silt fence barrier as required to prevent student access to the play field and allow hydroseed to establish. Remove temporary barrier once turf has been established and ready for student use. b. Coordinate and adjust irrigation cycles during hydroseed establishment phase. Coordinate with RUSD M&O. 4. Disregard "Main Vehicular Gate" location on C2.0. Refer to the Logistics Plan for location. 5. Pressure wash site access lane at demobilization. Refer to logistics plan. This is in addition to daily general maintenance of track out and housekeeping. 6. The Project is in a residential area. The City's noise ordinance/work hours will be enforced. 7. During performance of work the project site will be occupied by students and staff (summer school). Contractor shall not interact with students or staff. 8. Topo survey post fine grading. 9. Remove and dispose of existing (2) benches, (1) spool and (1) chainlink fence panel located on the west side of the retention basin. Refer to Exhibit G. 10. Volleyball court in asphalt playground area adjacent to the playfield. Location to be determined by District. a. Asphalt demolition, excavation, footings or sleeves, posts, hardscape patchback and net assembly. b. Include 450 LF of striping. 11. Disregard note on IR1.0 indicating that the Booster Pump is an Alternate Bid Item. This Booster Pump is not an alternate. Booster Pump shall be Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI). Location- 2433 Central Ave Riverside, CA 92506 Contractor s License Classification Required: Each bidder shall be a Class B licensed contractor. Each bidder and subcontractor shall be licensed contractors pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed to perform the work called for in the contract documents Each bidder shall submit with his bid, on the form furnished with the contract documents, a list of the designated subcontractors on this project as required by the Subletting and Subcontracting Fair Practices Act, California Public Contract Code Sections 4100 et seq. In accordance with California Public Contract Code Section 22300, the District will permit the substitution of securities for any moneys withheld by the District to ensure performance under the contract. At the request and expense of the Contractor, securities equivalent to the amount withheld shall be deposited with the District, or with a state or federally chartered bank as the escrow agent, who shall then pay such moneys to the Contractor. Each bidder s bid must be accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder s security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price: (1) cash; (2) a cashier s check made payable to the District; (3) a certified check made payable to the District; or (4) a bidder s bond executed by a California admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, made payable to the District in the form set forth in the contract documents Pursuant to California Labor Code Sections 1720 et seq., it shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under such Contractor, to pay not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract, including holiday and overtime work as well as employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation, and similar purposes. A contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in the Labor Code, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. Each bidder s bid must be accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder s security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. Separate payment and performance bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract amount, are required. No bidder may withdraw any bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the date set for the opening of bids. The Contract Time is 43 calendar days. Each bidder must strive to meet goals and requirements relating to participation by Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises ( D.V.B.E. ), of three percent (3%) participation. Any request for substitutions pursuant to Public Contracts Code Section 3400 must be made on the form set forth in the contract documents and submitted not less than seven business days prior to the bid opening date PTN : 66613-49 1.
