A portion of this project is funded by the State of Wisconsin Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP). Significant types of work and approximate quantities include: Furnish and Install Sanitary Sewer Main and Laterals 1,400 LF Furnish and Install Sanitary Sewer Manhole 6 EA Furnish and Install Water Main and Services 1,600 LF Furnish and Install Hydrant Assembly 2 EA Furnish and Install Storm Sewer Main and Lead 1,250 LF Furnish and Install Storm Sewer Manhole 8 EA Furnish and Install Storm Sewer Catch Basin 12 EA Furnish and Place Concrete Curb and Gutter 2,500 LF Furnish and Place 4-Inch Concrete Sidewalk 1,450 SF Furnish and Place 6-Inch Concrete Driveway and Sidewalk 4,030 SF Furnish and Place Base Aggregate Dense 2,050 CY Furnish and Place Breaker Run, Incl. Overexcavation 1,000 CY Furnish and Place Asphalt Pavement, 4-Inch 1,250 TN Furnish and Place Topsoil, Seed, Fertilizer, Mulch and Water 3,500 SY Contract 23-01 a unit price contract. The estimated quantities as indicated above and in the Bid Proposal are inserted only for the purpose of determining the low bidder. The City of West Bend, Wisconsin, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, subject to the provisions of Sections 62.15 and 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statutes. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the scheduled time of opening bids. The letting of work described herein is subject to the provisions of Section 66.0901 Wisconsin Statutes, as it applies to work done under this contract. No bid will be received unless accompanied by a Certified Check or a Bid Bond equal to 5% of the bid, payable to the City of West Bend, Wisconsin, as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the successful bidder will execute and file the contract and payment and performance assurances, forming a part of the Specifications, within 10 days after the award of the contract. The payment and performance assurances must be for an amount at least equal to the contract price and must be in the form of a bond, an irrevocable letter of credit, or an escrow account acceptable to the City. In case the bidder fails to file such contract, performance bond, and payment bond, the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages (Section 62.15(3) of Wisconsin Statutes).
