For Treasures Office Glazing and Millwork Project The project consists of furnishing the following supplies, equipment, and/or services. Linn County Jean Oxley Public Service Center - Treasurers Office Glazing & Millwork Project, 935 Second Street SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52404 Architects Project Number 22045. The bids are for a single Prime Contract (general mechanical and electrical combined) for Renovation work at the Linn County Jean Oxley Public Service Center. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis; segregated sub-bids will not be accepted. Work is anticipated to commence upon award of contract, and be completed on or before May 19, 2023, in the interior areas as shown on the Construction Documents. Plans and specifications governing the construction of the proposed Work have been prepared by Emergent Architecture, 3801 River Ridge Drive NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of certified check, credit union share draft, or surety bond written on an original AIA Document A310, Bid Bond is required for this project. The successful bidder will be required to provide surety Performance and Material Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum. The award of the contract will be made by Linn County to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder or bidders offering suitable supplies, equipment and/or service at the lowest price taking into consideration the quality of materials or service in the best interest of the Owner. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interest of the Owner. Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Renovation of the existing Treasurer Customer Service Waiting and Transaction Service Counter Area to LINN COUNTY JEAN OXLEY PUBLIC SERVICE CENTER, at the northeast corner of the existing building. The renovation work will provide a new customer service area with transaction die wall millwork and glazing from countertop to soffit above along with an alternate to incorporate window shades on the staff side of glazing. 2. Interior finishing and related construction include but is not limited to the following: construction of interior partitions, wood, solid surface and wood veneered casework, drywall patching and paint as required for a complete installation of the design identified on the construction documents.
