Renovation of a residential development in Olla, Louisiana. Working plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
This project has been postponed. Questions regarding this procurement shall be directed to the Architect: James W. Dean Architect, LLC; Email: jwd.architect@gmail.com. Note: Louisiana Licensed Contractor required for this project with a major classification as Building Construction and subclassification as HVAC and refrigeration. BID SECURITY equal to five percent (5%) of the Total Bid shall be in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashierÕs check as prescribed by LA RS 38:2218.A, must be attached to and made a part of the bid. If a bid bond is provided it shall be on the provided form and only on the provided form. Bid bonds must be written by a qualified company licensed to do business in Louisiana. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. For this project, Liquidated Damages will apply in the amount of two hundred fifty ($250.00) per day for each consecutive calendar day which the work is not completed, beginning with the first day beyond the established completion date. Attention is called to the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act for local prevailing wage rates, and payment of not less than the minimum salaries, wages and benefits as set forth in the Specifications must be paid on this project. Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are appropriately licensed under La. R.S. 37:2150. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after actual date of the opening thereof. The Olla Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Housing Authority shall incur no obligation to the Contractor until the Contract between Owner and Contractor is fully executed.
