Renovation of an educational facility in New Haven, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 33,037-square-foot educational facility.

The Project Description: Project is a roof renovation for a substantial portion of Lyman Hall at Southern Connecticut State University. The work consists of the removal of the existing single ply EPDM roof system installed on sections of tectum, concrete and metal decking. Replacement with a new 20-year roofing system to include the following work: all existing insulation will be removed and the deck and perimeter blocking inspected for damage, the cementitious insulating fill used to create the roof slope and crickets will need to be inspected to ensure its integrity, and removed as required, to be replaced with a tapered rigid insulation system, installation of a vapor barrier to the deck, insulation to meet the Energy Code and a secondary roof drainage system will be installed, a system of parapets at the roof perimeter(s). All work to comply with FM Global requirements. Supplemental Bids: Supplemental Bid No. 1: Roof replacement with a new 30-year roofing system in lieu of the base bid roofing system. Supplemental Bids: Supplemental Bid No. 2: Requires the cleaning of existing exterior face brick masonry as identified on the Drawings, and prescribed in Specification Section 040110.02 Exterior Masonry Cleaning, and the application of Siloxane, penetrating water repellent per Specification Section 071900 Water Repellents. All work will need to be performed in adherence to the performing arts center "Schedule for Lyman Center" for the summer of 2023. In accordance with C.G.S. 46a-68c, the successful qualified low bidder on this project shall submit an Affirmative Action Plan if the value of the project exceeds $50,000.00 or more. The plan must be filed within thirty (30) days after a bid has been accepted by an awarding agency.
