The City of Laguna Niguel is seeking an experienced firm/company to provide maintenance services for wetlands and habitat areas in the City of Laguna Niguel. The term "Contractor" will be referred as an individual, partnership, corporation, joint venture, or other legal entity entering into a contract with the City to perform the work. The work to be performed shall consist of furnishing all necessary administration, labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to maintain thirteen (13) vegetated wetlands and native habitat areas with associated paths, channels, and drainage structures, all owned or under maintenance easements to the City of Laguna Niguel. Work to be completed on an as needed basis as directed by City staff. All work must be approved in writing prior to beginning. All Work shall be conducted in compliance with permits from the California Department of Fish and Game, the Regional Water QualitControl Board, and the US Army Corps of Engineers. 1.3 All work performed by the Contractor shall be professional, current with the times utilizing state-of-the-art methods and equipment considered to be acceptable under existing landscape care standards. 1.4 The actual work to be performed, contract requirements and compensation procedures are defined in the following divisions of these documents. Final Questions Due No Later than *Must use Attachment X - RFP Inquiry Form 5:00 P.M. 2/28/23. The initial contract term shall be for a period of three (3) years* effective from date of award. The City reserves the right to cancel at any time if services rendered are unsatisfactory. The City also reserves the right to extend the term of this contract for two (2) additional one (1) year extensions subject to satisfactory negotiation of terms and the annual availability of an appropriation. Such nominations of extensions will be made no later than ninety (90) days from termination date.
