City of Lincolnton seeks a Licensed Contractor to provide services for Site Development Improvements for multiple new projects along the Marcia H. Cloninger Rail Trail on East Sycamore Street near First Federal Park in Lincolnton, NC. These services include but are limited to the Scope of Work described below: 1) Site Development Improvements: a) Provide all temporary erosion control measures (i.e. Filtrexx Inlet Protection and Wattles, and Temporary Seeding Stabilization) per plan set for site grading including temporary measures along with the maintenance and/or removal until the time of final acceptance by the City of Lincolnton and Lincoln County Natural Resources. b) Provide all site clearing and grading of project areas per attached plans and specifications along with Owner and Landscape Architect approval. c) Demolition of existing 8' x 12' wooden fence around old monitoring well location alongside of rail trail on the northern most section of the project area, removal of approx. +/- 13' section of segmental retaining wall along the west side of the rail trail on East Sycamore Street adjacent to the sidewalk as noted on plans, removal of any needed trees or undergrowth and any incidental items during site work within the limits of construction per plan set requirements. Coordinate relocation of City of Lincolnton light poles and street or rail trail signage that is within limits of construction as needed per plan requirements with City of Lincoln Public Works. d) Provide all site and construction debris removal recycling or disposal to an NC DEMLR approved land fill. e) Installation of all storm drainage facilities including but not limited to new catch basin storm drain boxes and proposed grates, HDPE storm drain piping, ADS DuraSlot storm drain piping and conversion of existing catch basins to a junction boxes per plans and construction documents. f) Installation of new proposed low brick retaining walls and plaza area wall lights along with low brick stage and step retaining walls including brick stage steps per plans and construction documents. g) Provide and install 2" galvanized metal handrailing for the stage area steps per plans and construction notes to be of duplicate construction of the existing handrails along the H/C ramp in the adjacent First Federal Park site. Provide final shop drawing sketch prior to construction for approval by the City of Lincolnton and Landscape Architect. h) Installation of new brick paver surfaces including but not limited to the new plaza areas, stage area, step landing areas, and H/C ramp walk per proposed per plans and construction documents. i) Provide any asphalt repairs along existing rail trail or etc. if damaged during project construction as full depth asphalt repair per ex. asphalt and gravel profile in area of damage. j) Installation of all parking lot pavement markings, H/C signage and stop sign as shown on plans as per plan set requirements and standards. k) Contractor to follow all the Project General Notes, Notes listed on individual plan sheets and construction details in the overall demolition, construction, and maintenance of the project components until final acceptance by the City of Lincolnton. l) Provide all labor, equipment, and materials described above and attached plans and specifications for a turn-key construction project of the Marcia H. Cloninger Rail Trail Project. m) All work to be done in compliance with all government agencies including but not limited to: City of Lincolnton, Lincoln County, OSHA, NC DEMLR Land Quality and Aquifer Protection Sections, NC DEQ Water Quality, US Army Corps of Engineering, and the Federal American with Disabilities Act guidelines.
