Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Eastsound, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Work includes stream diversion; clearing and grubbing with tree and stump removal roadway excavation and disposal installation of a precast box culvert placement and compaction of gravel roadway base installation of guardrails asphalt paving pre-bid conference for this project. The project site is open to bidders for inspection. Rejection of Bids San Juan County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in the best interest of the County Estimated Cost: $ 930,000 Time for Completion: 45 working days Notification will be made using the contact information provided by the bidder. Bidder Questions: In accordance with Standard Specification 1-02.4(1): Oral explanations, interpretations, or instructions given by anyone before the Award of a Contract will not be binding on San Juan County. Any information given a prospective Bidder concerning any of the Bid Documents will be furnished to all prospective Bidders as an Addendum if that information is deemed by San Juan County to be necessary in submitting Bids or if San Juan County concludes that the lack of the information would be prejudicial to other prospective Bidders. Bid Guarantee: Bid deposit shall be submitted with each bid by check or money order, in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, or a bid bond in lieu of deposit. Permits: All permits have been obtained for this project and any relevant provisions for the bidder have been included in the contract provisions and plans. State Taxes: This contract is subject to WAC 458-20-171 (Rule 171) for tax purposes, and the bidder shall include for compensation the amount of any taxes to be paid in the various unit bid prices or other contract amounts. Prevailing Wages: Washington State wage laws and rules apply. In preparing a bid, contractors must use the prevailing wage rates in effect for San Juan County on the date bids are due, which may be viewed in person at Public Works or obtained on the L&I website at https://sec ure.lni.wa.gov/wage lookup/. Contractor and any subcontractors will be required to file the required Intent(s), Affidavit(s), and Certified Payroll reports via the contractor portal on the L&I website. Contract Bonds: The successful bidder shall provide executed payment and performance bonds for the full contract amount, in accordance with RCW 39.08.010. Withholding of Retainage: Pursuant to RCW 60.28.011, a sum of 5% of the monies earned by the Contractor will be retained from progress payments. Pre-Bid Conference: The County is not holding a pre-bid conference for this project. Additional Information: Contact the Public Works Department at (360) 370-0500. Notice of U.S. DOT Title VI Assurances : San Juan County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.
