Site work and paving for a road / highway in Moorhead, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
All bidders must be able to submit a sworn statement to MPS demonstrating that it is a responsible contractor as defined by Minnesota Statutes 16C.285. The failure to provide such a statement will render any proposal non-responsive. Each bidder must furnish a bid bond, cash, or certified check from a reputable bank payable to Moorhead Public Service for at least ten (10) percent of the amount of the bid and the amount thereof shall be forfeited to MPS as liquidated damages if the bidder, upon the letting of the contract to bidder, shall fail to enter into the contract so let. No bidder shall withdraw their bid for at least thirty (30) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids, except with the consent of the Moorhead Public Service Commission. MPS reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities. ALL QUESTIONS SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO: Jake Long, Water Distribution Manager, Moorhead Public Service, at 218-477-8074 or jlong@mpsutility.com. All questions must be received in writing or by e-mail (with confirmed receipt) on or before seven (7) days prior to the bid opening. Responses to technical questions will be issued via addendum through electronically prior to the bid opening.
