The Vic Trace Reservoir Replacement Project (Project) replaces an existing 10 million gallon (MG) drinking water storage tank with two 5 MG concrete tanks to improve operational flexibility. The Project was recommended in the City s Water Distribution Infrastructure Plan (WDIP) as a critical upcoming capital improvement project due to its age, increasing onsite repair needs, and its importance to the City s overall storage portfolio and fire-fighting capacity. The Project requires a comprehensive environmental assessment, including a Phase 1 biological, cultural, and archaeological, and soils analysis. Results of preliminary environmental studies will include recommendations and cost estimates for necessary environmental permitting, and ongoing environmental monitoring and mitigation requirements. This Project is anticipated to seek funding through California's Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) and federal Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC).
