**As of April 10,2023. project was awarded to Brothers Asphalt, awarded amount is $1,075,876.36.** DESCRIPTION OF WORK The proposed improvement is officially known as the "2023 Street Improvement Project" which consists of HMA grinding and overlay, pcc sidewalk, combination concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer adjustments, pavement marking, sodding, and any other work for a total distance of 2.06 miles. Each prospective bidder shall furnish, as a prerequisite to the release of proposal forms, a copy of a "Certificate of Eligibility" issued by the Illinois Department of Transportation. The successful bidder will be required to agree that not less than the prevailing rate of wages will be paid to all workmen, laborers, and mechanics performing their work under this contract. All proposals must be accompanied by a Proposal Guarantee, made payable to the Treasurer of the Village of Bloomingdale, in accordance with the "Standard Specifications for Road & Bridge Construction," prepared by the Illinois Department of Transportation, latest edition. The bid security shall be forfeited if the bidder fails, or refuses to enter into contract and to furnish a performance bond after his proposal is accepted. The Village of Bloomingdale is exempt from the Illinois State municipal or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Revised Statute Chapter 120.
