Renovation of a water / sewer project in Hilo, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Question Deadline 07/26/2024 Anyone who disagrees with the determination in the above table shall submit their written objection to the Director identifying the specialty contractor classification(s) in question and the justification(s) for such position at least 10 consecutive calendar days prior to bid opening. The Base Bid Project generally consists of construction, testing, startup, and commissioning of a new replacement septage receiving facility; a new replacement headworks facility; a new replacement odor control system for the headworks and existing primary sedimentation tanks; a new headworks electrical building; modifications to the existing primary sedimentation tanks; modifications to the existing primary and secondary facilities buildings; modifications to the existing secondary clarifiers and associated return secondary sludge pumps, secondary scum pumps, and waste secondary sludge pumps; modifications to the disinfection system; a new sludge blending system with odor control; two new replacement anaerobic digesters and associated digester control building; new digester gas conditioning system and waste gas flare; new solids handling building with odor control; replacement of the existing non-potable water (2W) system; replacement of the existing chlorinated secondary effluent (3W) pump station; a new replacement return flow pump station; a new warehouse building; new plant-wide supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system along with new control and server room; replacement of main switchboard and various motor control centers; new standby generator facility; along with supporting piping, mechanical, ventilation fire protection, electrical and control systems, civil and site improvements. It also includes demolition of the existing septage receiving facility; headworks; preaeration tanks; flare; propane tank; blowers, electrical equipment, and odor scrubbers at the primary facilities building; dissolved air flotation (DAF) facility; solids handling building return flow pump station; digesters and associated digester control building; waste gas flare; propane tank; and other related work in accordance with the Plans and Specifications. Prospective Bidders must file with the Director of Public Works their "Intent to Bid." The Prospective Bidder's Intent to Bid must be received by the Administration Office, Department of Public Works no later than 4:30 p.m., ten (10) calendar days prior to the bid opening date. If the tenth day is on a Saturday, Sunday or State holiday, the Intent to Bid is due on the next working day following the due date. The original executed and notarized Standard Qualification Questionnaire for Offerors form "SQQO" must be received by the Administration Office, Department of Public Works, no less than forty-eight (48) hours prior to the 2:00 p.m. bid opening so it may be evaluated and approved by the County of Hawai'i, Department of Public Works prior to bid opening. Please submit said form to allow for evaluation and approval by our office if such form had not been evaluated, approved and filed within the twelve (12) months, if there is any change in your previous responses as they relate to this project, or if additional information is requested. The Director of Public Works reserves the right to reject any or all bids to waive informalities. No Bidder may withdraw its bid after the hour set for the opening thereof or before the award of the contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding NINETY (90) consecutive calendar days.
