Two (2) Year Contract to Provide Labor, Materials and Equipment Necessary to Remove Existing and Install New Thermoplastic Pavement Markings for the East and West Bank of Jefferson Parish for the Department of Engineering - Traffic Engineering Division A LA State Contractor's License will be required in accordance with LSA R.S. 37-2150 et. seq. and such license number will be shown on the outside of the bid electronic envelope. Failure to comply will cause the bid to be rejected. When submitting the bid electronically, the license number must be entered in the appropriate field in the electronic procurement system. Failure to comply will cause the bid to be rejected. BID BOND: A bid bond is required with bid submission in the amount of 5% of the total bid. PERFORMANCE BOND: A performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract amount will be required at the signing of the formal contract The following specifications describe the materials required for a two-year contract to provide labor and material to install and /or remove retroreflective pavement marking at various West Bank locations. The locations shall be determined by Jefferson Parish Traffic Engineering Division. The markings shall include but not be limited to: Raised Pavement Markers, Longitudinal Pavement Marking, and Preformed Letters, Legends, Symbols, High Friction Surface Overlays and Modular Lane Separator Systems. All material and legends shall conform to these specifications and to those listed in the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, 2009 Edition. As detailed in a written Notice-to-Proceed (NTP) directive, all locations for installation / removal shall be determined by the Jefferson Parish Traffic Engineering Division. Upon notification, the contractor shall mobilize within 14 days after notification and complete the individual job assignment within 30 days or be assessed liquidated damages in the amount of one percent (1%) per day thereafter of the cost of the individual job assignment. After 100 days, the job shall be installed free of charge with the exception of mobilization charges.
