Site work for a water / sewer project in Shelby, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
A certified check or cashier's check, payable to the City of Shelby, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by a corporate surety, licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute such bonds, in the amount equal to five (5) percent of the total bid shall be submitted with each proposal. Proposals may not be withdrawn for ninety (90) days after the date of receipt. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish separately, a one hundred percent (100%) Performance and Payment Bonds on the forms included as a part of the Contract Documents. The bid deposit shall be retained by the City of Shelby if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract or fails to provide the required bonds as stated above within ten (10) days of the award of the contract. The City of Shelby invites and encourages participation in this bidding process by minority business enterprises. The City of Shelby reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to accept any proposal which is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Shelby, North Carolina.
