Site work and asbestos abatement for an educational facility in Shabbona, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; and for asbestos abatement for a educational facility.
Bids will be held good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days from date of opening All work shall be performed in accordance with all of the current and latest requirements of all regulations governing asbestos removal and disposal. The Contractor shall be aware of and comply with the latest requirements of the regulations governing asbestos removal and disposal. Bids shall be submitted on forms supplied by the Consultant. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days subsequent to the opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept any or reject all bids when in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve the best interest of the Owner. The Owner prefers that work on this project be performed insofar as practical by local labor and assurance of same will be considered in the award of the contract. Potential bidders are advised of Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 48, Section 2201-2207, Public Act 83-1472. Wage rates on this work shall not be less than prescribed scale of wages as determined by the Illinois Department of labor pursuant to the provisions of Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 48, Sec. 39-S-1 et. seq. and as required by Federal Wage Rate Standards.
