St. George Place Redevelopment Authority/TIRZ 1 proposes to perform the following improvements at the intersections of Chimney Rock Rd at Richmond Avenue and Chimney Rock Rd at Westheimer Rd: The proposed improvements at the Richmond Ave south approach, consist of roadway widening along the east right-of-way (ROW) to extend the northbound right turn and left turn storage lengths, upgrade the existing water line, improve the turning radii at 3 intersection corners, construct a new 6-ft wide sidewalk along the east ROW, new curb ramps, asphalt mill and overlay, a new driveway, drainage rehabilitation, new 12-inch water line, Metro bus stop improvements, and a new fully actuated traffic signal along with roadway striping and signage. The proposed improvements at Westheimer Road south approach, consist of roadway widening along the west ROW and extending the northbound left turn lane storage length. The proposed improvements also consist of construction of a 6-ft wide sidewalk along the west ROW, new curb ramps, asphalt mill and overlay, a new driveway, drainage rehabilitation, new 12-inch water line, and a new fully actuated traffic signal along with roadway striping and signage. Bidders shall comply with City Ordinance 95-336 and Exec Order No. 1-2, and City of Houston Affirmative Action and Contract Compliance Division Minority/Women /Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (M/W/DBE) Procedures. The successful bidder will be required to make good faith efforts to achieve a MBE participation goal of 10 % and WBE participation goal of 8%. The St. George Place Redevelopment Authority/TIRZ 1 may award the contract for the project to the most responsible bidder who, in the judgment of the St. George Place Redevelopment Authority/TIRZ 1, will be most advantageous to the St. George Place Redevelopment Authority/TIRZ 1 and results in the best and most economical completion of the project. Bidders shall also submit qualifications with their bids set forth in the contract documents. St.George Place Redevelopment Authority/TIRZ 1 reserves the right to reject any or all bids, accept any bid with similar work experience or waive informalities in bidding.
