Purchase of Cold Storage Equipment, Demolition of Existing Equipment, and Installation of Newly Purchased Equipment. This is a Turnkey Project. Recommendation for Award Will Be Submitted to the School Board for Their Consideration at a Later Public Meeting. Vendor Questions Received by March 3, 2023. -- District Response to Question Sent to Vendors by March 6, 2023. School Board Awards Bid March 21, 2023. The Board Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids and to Waive Any Informality in Bids. Osseo Area Schools is seeking sealed bids for projects at two different schools. The projects are turnkey replacements of commercial kitchen walk-in cooler and walk-in cooler/freezer combo equipment at the schools listed below. Maple Grove Middle School Park Center Senior High School 7000 Hemlock Ln. N. 7300 Brooklyn Blvd. Maple Grove, MN 55369 Brooklyn Park, MN 55443 Equipment Requested o Walk-in cooler/freezer combo to Maple Grove Middle School o Walk-in cooler to Park Center Senior High School Maple Grove Middle School (MGMS) Demolition o May begin June 12, 2023. o Must be completed by June 28, 2023. Demolition of the existing walk-in cooler/freezer combo as well as building and utility alterations as required for new install. Install poly barrier to keep the dust and debris out of other areas of the building and equipment. Removal and disposal of all debris and demolished equipment. Provide a dumpster at the job site and remove the dumpster when demolition is complete. Demo may include but not limited to: o refrigeration line o insulation o condensate lines o condensing units o evaporators o Electrical o Plumbing o Block wall work o Fill in old office door o Recessed floor demo and pouring new sub floor o Removal of the hand sink o Removal of the fire alarm o Removal of existing lights and ceiling tiles o Removal of existing electrical outlets and switches, phone jacks o Removal of speaker system in office o Building fire suppression system o X-ray existing floor for hidden utilities Installation o Must begin after June 30, 2023. o Must be completed by August 11, 2023. Installation of the new cooler/freezer combo walk-in may include but not be limited to: o Receipt of new equipment from equipment vendor at school building o Plumbing o Electrical o Building fire suppression system o Provide and install ceiling tiles and flooring to match existing floor and ceiling where needed. Park Center Senior High (PCSH) Demolition o May begin June 12, 2023. o Must be completed by June 28, 2023. Demolition of the existing walk-in cooler as well as building and utility alterations as required for new install. Install poly barrier to keep the dust and debris out of other areas of the building and equipment. Removal and disposal of all debris and demolished equipment.
