The City of Leander, herein after "City", seeks an agreement with a qualified Individual, Firm, or Corporation, herein "Respondent", in response to this Solicitation from firms qualified and experienced in the development of multimodal corridor studies. Qualified firms must demonstrate an understanding of transportation planning practices and requirements in the Central Texas region; urban street design and its relationship to mobility, safety, and place making; land use and economic development concepts; traffic operational analysis methods for multimodal streets; and effective and inclusive public outreach. The purpose of this initiative is to assist the City of Leander with a multimodal corridor study for US 183 from the Bryson Ridge Trail split from 183A Toll to Osage Drive. The study will identify needs and develop a context-sensitive transportation vision for several different subareas along the corridor. Additionally, the study will identify catalytic land use and place making opportunities within key focus areas. The study will build upon previous local and regional plans and will guide recommendations for the City of Leander's use of the corridor including traffic signals at intersections, intersection improvements, pedestrian crossing and safety zones, crosswalks, sidewalks, shared use paths, pedestrian bridges, signals, a speed analysis, and the implementation of the City's Comprehensive Plan, Transportation Master Plan, Old Town Master Plan, and other planning efforts. Deadline for Respondents Questions Submitted to the City of Leander March 16 , 2023. All questions regarding the solicitation shall be submitted through the website via email to Purchasing@leandertx.gov by 5:00 PM. The US 183 Corridor Study is anticipated to take between 9 and 12 months from the work authorization approval. The budget for this work shall not exceed $500,000. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
