The 131st Street Shared Use Path project involves the installation of a new ten foot (10') wide hot-mix asphalt shared use path with hot-mix asphalt surface course, aggregate base course, spot curb and gutter removal and replacement, driveways, sidewalk installation at intersections to connect to the proposed shared use path, ADA detectable warnings, minor storm sewer improvements, shared use path signage, and striping (thermoplastic & modified urethane). The project limits are from Derby Road to Bell Road on 131st Street and from 131st Street to the Com Ed right of way (0.3 miles north of 131st Street) on Derby Road. There is also a crossing of Long Run Creek that needs to be assessed. The selected firm shall perform Preliminary (Phase I) Engineering Services, as required, in a professional and satisfactory manner. The construction contract will be let and administered by IDOT. All work must be completed in accordance with the policies and standards of the Village, IDOT, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and the IDOT approved Project Development Report. A.
