Renovation of an educational facility in Devils Lake, North Dakota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The general construction work is estimated to be less than 25% of the bidding threshold, and pursuant to N.D.C.C. 48-01.2-06, Electrical and Mechanical contractors are invited to bid their specific portions of work and the General portion of work. The Owner reserves the right to reject any General bid included under the Mechanical and/or Electrical bid in the event a General Contractor bids on the work and the amount is less than that bid by the Mechanical and/or Electrical contractors. The scope of work generally consists of removal and replacement of ATC ceilings, electrical systems, lighting, and removal and replacement of the HVAC system. The building is approximately 6,650 sqft. Work includes all associated demolition, general construction, HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical improvements indicated in the Contract Documents. Each Bid submitted shall consist of two separate sealed envelopes, attached together, with each envelope clearly marked on the outside with the contractors name. Each Bidder shall submit in one envelope a Bid Security in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the full amount of the Bid, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in North Dakota; the security shall be for the highest amount of the Bidders total bid combination. All bonds shall comply with North Dakota Century Code, including Chapter 48-01 as amended. Each Bidder shall hold a current and valid North Dakota Contractors License of the proper class issued by the Secretary of State and shall enclose a copy of the license or certificate of renewal of the license in the same envelope as the Bidders Security. Each Bidder shall submit in the second envelope the Bid Form supplied with the Bidding Documents or through Addenda. Bid submittals which do not comply with the instructions in this advertisement will not be opened or publicly read. Questions regarding the bidding documents shall be directed to EngTech Engineers and Architects; Trevor Huffaker at 701-258-7077. All product substitution requests and prior approvals must use the Substitution Request Form found in the Project Manual and must be received in writing or by e-mail on or before seven (7) calendar days prior to the bid opening. All project questions must be received in writing or by e-mail on or before three (3) calendar days prior to the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to hold all legitimate bids for a period of Sixty (60) days after the date fixed for the opening thereof. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any and all bids and rebid the project until a satisfactory bid is received, and to waive any informalities or irregularities. Proposed Substantial Completion: August 16, 2023 / October 6, 2023.
