The Work shall consist of replacing or rehabilitating sanitary sewer mains at 41 pipeline segments as shown on the Plans [29 Base Bid pipeline segments; six (6) Alternate A Bid pipeline segments and six (6) Alternate B Bid pipeline segments]. The project requires coordination with the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) and San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) as indicated in the Contract Documents. The Work is generally comprised of the following features: 1. Cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) lining rehabilitation of 1,294 +/- feet of 14-inch to 20-inch sanitary sewer main, 2,314 +/- feet of 21-inch to 24-inch sanitary sewer main, 1,348 +/- feet of 25-inch to 30-inch sanitary sewer main, 1,791 +/- feet of 31-inch to 36-inch sanitary sewer main, and 4,615 +/- feet of 42-inch sanitary sewer main. 2. Cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) spot lining rehabilitation of 15-inch sanitary sewer main. 3. Slip lining rehabilitation of 146 +/- feet of 15-inch sanitary sewer main with new 12-inch HDPE sanitary sewer pipe. 4. Open Cut replacement of 99 +/- feet of 14-inch to 16-inch sanitary sewer main with new 14-inch to 16-inch PVC sanitary sewer main, 1,065 +/- feet of 18-inch sanitary sewer main with new 18-inch PVC sanitary sewer main, and 26 +/- feet of 24-inch sanitary sewer main with new 24-inch PVC sanitary sewer main. 5. Pipe Reaming replacement of 767 +/- feet of 14-inch to 16-inch sanitary sewer with new 14-inch to 16-inch HDPE sanitary sewer main. 6. Point repairs to 14-inch to 18-inch existing sanitary sewer mains. 7. Infiltration Grout repairs at joints on existing 15-inch to 42-inch VCP and RCP sanitary sewer mains. 8. 22 +/- sanitary sewer lateral reconnections 9. Removal and replacement of 7 +/- existing sanitary sewer manholes. 10. Replacement of 2 +/- manhole frame and covers. 11. Installation of 1 +/- 48-inch concrete sanitary manhole 12. Connection to existing or replaced sanitary sewer manholes. 13. Sanitary sewer flow bypassing. Scope of work also includes mobilization/demobilization, traffic control, potholing of utilities, shoring and bracing, permitting and agency coordination, and other incidentals necessary for complete and usable facilities. The Work shall reach Substantial Completion within one hundred seventy (170) Working Days from the date when the Contract Time commences to run. The Work shall reach Final Completion within one hundred eighty-five (185) Working Days from the date when the Contract Time commences to run. A California "A" contractor's license is required to bid this contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. PRE-BID CONFERENCE AND SITE VISIT. City will not conduct a Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit for this project. Bidders are strongly encouraged to visit the site. STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS.
