**As of March 28,2023, this project has been awarded to Martin & Company Excavating in the amount of $356,061.58. This project involves adding single barrel (1 @ 12'-0" x 5'-0") precast concrete box culvert next to structure 071-5068 acting as an overflow structure with approach work thereto. Road closure is anticipated. The in-stream work will include cleaning out the existing sediment buildup inside of structure 071-5068 & 071-5097, and channel excavation and expansion. This project is located 5.5 miles west of Polo, Illinois in the West Quarter of Section 10, Township 23 North, Range 7 East of the 4th Principal Meridian. Please see the location map on the cover sheet of the Plans for exact stations and locations of the proposed bridge work. The gross and net length of the project is 525 ft (0.10 miles). This project involves adding a 12' x 5' precast concrete box culvert relief structure next to existing 2 cell (12' x 6') reinforced concrete box culvert carrying C.H. 6 over Eagle Creek. The proposed project involves placing the new precast culvert with cast in place headwalls, concrete repair of the existing structure, excavation of channel and bank material at the existing and new structure, and cleaning material from the structure crossing eagle creek on Brookville Road. Roadway work consists of raising the existing roadway profile and replacing the roadway along the raised portion of highway. The Contractor shall submit two sets of shop drawings to Willett, Hofmann & Associates, Inc., for approval prior to distribution of the shop drawings.
