Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Morristown, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

AS of April 19, 2023, the project has been awarded. A timeline for ocnstruction has not been confirmed. The major construction items are estimated as follows: 79 L.F. of 15" R.C.P. storm drainage pipe, 2 Flared End Sections with Riprap; 16 Inlets, Type "B" and "Modified, Type B", including Reconstruction of various inlets; 440 L.F. Belgian Block Curb and Curb Reconstruction; 2,900 L.F. of Concrete Curb and Curb Reconstruction; 2,984 S.Y. of Concrete Sidewalk and 235 SY Concrete Driveway Apron and other items typically required of a sidewalk construction project. Construction of a driveway, ADA parking, and realignment of a roadway intersection are also included as part of this project. The Township of Morris will not assume responsibility for bids forwarded by mail or delivery service. The guaranty accompanying the bid proposal shall be given in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the base bid, minimum of $500.00 and not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00), and may be given at the option of the bidder by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or a Bid Bond from a reputable insurance company licensed in the State of New Jersey. Pursuant to NJSA 52:32-44, all business organizations that conduct business with a New Jersey government agency are required to be registered with the State of New Jersey. Bidders and their subcontractors must submit proof that they are registered with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue by submitting a copy of their Business Registration Certificate. Failure to provide the Business Registration Certificate prior to award of the contract will be cause for rejection of the bid as being non-responsive. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17-27. Bids may be held by the Township of Morris for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. Pursuant to P.L. 2010, c. 108, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3 authorizes a bidder to request withdrawal of a public works bid due to a mistake on the part of the bidder within five days after the opening of the bids. The Township reserves the right to reject all bids pursuant to NJSA 40A:11-13.2. *Information regarding subcontractor bidding has not been disclosed to the content management team at this time.
