Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Pioneer, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Per Addendum 4, as of March 23, 2023 this bid has been canceled until further notice. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and further reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the bids. Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the general prevailing wage rates in Amador County have been determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. The wages set forth in the General Prevailing Wage Rates for this project are available from the California Department of Industrial Relations Inquiries or questions based on alleged patent ambiguity of the plans, specifications or estimate must be communicated as a bidder inquiry prior to bid opening directed in writing to Matt Ospital at m.ospital@wgainc.net. Any such inquiries or questions, submitted after bid opening, will not be treated as a bid protest The stream bank repair consists of rebuilding a section of the bank that was destroyed due to the high flow in Jackson Creek (approximately 150 lf). Some of the material from the bank that washed away is deposited on private property, there is no estimate of the amount of material that will need to be removed by the Contractor from the irrigated pasture field and placed back in the existing location. All the material that is currently onsite (in the field) shall first go to restore the stream bank. An estimated 600 cubic yards of material is needed to rebuild the stream bank. All existing vegetation along the stream bank shall not be disturbed. Following stripping and grubbing in the area to receive embankment fill, the stream bank subgrade shall be "proof rolled" and evaluated by a District representative or Project Engineer to determine if there are any areas which deflect, rut, or pump excessively. Proof rolling should consist of several passes over the subgrade surface with a loaded tandem-axle dump truck. The washout area is approximately 15,000 sf in size and will involve placement of approximately 2,400 cubic yards of material to fill in the washout area. The existing irrigation pipeline that is exposed in the washout area shall be repaired by the contractor (if required), prior to any fill material is placed. All areas to receive fill shall be scarified to a depth of 6 inches. Embankment fill shall be placed in layers of 6 inches or less in loose thickness, and compacted uniformly utilizing a sheep foots on an excavator. Any fill slopes shall be constructed fat and trimmed back to expose well-compacted fill. Stream bank fill shall be compacted to 95% and the washout area shall be 85 to 90%.
