This Request for Tender (RFT) is an invitation by the Village of Grand Manan (referred to as the Village throughout this RFT) to prospective bidders to submit bids for the Operation and Management of the Grand Manan Construction and Demolition (C&D) Debris Disposal Site, and Transfer Station, and Redemption Center. Additionally, the Village requires ongoing communications and documented tracking of tonnages. The Grand Manan C&D Debris Disposal site is located at the end of the Curling Club Road. The Transfer Station, and Redemption Center are located on the same property at 24 Curling Club Road. Both the C&D site and the Transfer Station/Redemption Center hours of operation are from 8:00 AM to 4:15 PM Monday through Friday and from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday. The lowest of any bidder will not necessarily be accepted. A Preferred Bidder will try to be identified based on solid waste management services offered, resources to be able to provide these services and past experience in providing similar solid waste management, construction and other public services. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept any bid considered to be in the best interest of the residents of Grand Manan. The Preferred bidder (if identified) will be required to enter into an Agreement with the Village for the provision of the services. It is the Village's intention to enter into the Agreement with only one (1) legal entity. The term of the Agreement is to be for a period of two (2) years, with an option in favor of the Village to extend the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for an additional three (3) terms of up to one (1) year each, pending annual budget approval. The Service Provider shall commence work under the Contract on or about Monday, May 1, 2023. Deadline for written questions to Thursday, March 30, 2023 by 3:30 pm.
