Renovation of a multi-residential development in Newark, New Jersey. Working plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

The Newark Housing Authority ("NHA") is accepting sealed bids to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary for the repairs of Building #10, John Hyatt Court: Roof demolition and replacement of one entire apartment complex (Building #10) including but not limited to shingle roofing, underlayment, soffits, fascia wrap, flashing, gutters, and downspouts. Roof framing repairs including wood roof trusses, and wood roof rafters. New roofing systems including but not limited to shingle roofing, underlayment, soffits, fascia wrap, flashing, gutters, and downspouts. Building #10 exterior repairs including door and window replacement, lintel replacement, brick repair, and brick replacement. The Performance Period is from Date of Award by NHA to Project Completion . The contractor must provide a warranty for this job. Refer to Specifications for details. Interested firms must be a roofing contractor and hold DPMC certification (C072-ROOFING- TILE/SLATE/SHINGLES and all NJ required licenses should be in place. In addition, the contractor must obtain a license from the City of Newark prior to applying for permit to do the work All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted, by Friday, March 03, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. through the portal using the question submission function specific to this solicitation. All questions receive before the aforementioned deadline will be answered online via portal The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond(s) in the amount of 100% of the contract as awarded. The surety company for all bonds must be a guaranty or surety company acceptable to the U.S. Department of Treasury - T-Listed. Individual sureties will not be considered. The surety company must be licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey. U.S. Treasury Circular 570, published annually in the Federal Register lists companies approved to act as surety on bonds securing government contracts, the maximum underwriting limits on each contract bonded, and the state in which each company is licensed to do business. These bids are being solicited through a Fair and Open Process in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A- 20.4 et seq. The Housing Authority of the City of Newark reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informality in the Bidding. The NHA also reserves the right to award all or a portion of the award to one (1) or more responsible responsive Bidders. No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of the Bids without the consent of the Housing Authority of the City of Newark.
