Work shall consist of furnishing all labor, taxes, materials, equipment, services, permits, incidental and implied, to install a complete working system as designed per the attached drawings and specifications. Contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the State laws governing their respective trades and that North Carolina General Statute 87 will be observed in receiving and awarding contracts. General Contractors must have general license classification required by this project. No bid may be withdrawn after the opening of bids for a period of 30 days. Buncombe County Schools reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities. Bids shall be made only on the Bid/aceptance form provided herein with all blank spaces for bids properly filled in and all signatures properly executed. Project Timeline: Substantial completion of base bid shall be no later August 18, 2023, date certain. Substantial completion is defined as: The contractor has passed the final inspection by the designer of record and manufacturer and a Certificate of Occupancy is issued by authorities having jurisdiction, and with only minor punch list items remaining. Final completion shall occur no more than 30 days after substantial completion. The contract award will be made approximately one week after receipt of acceptable bids. Bonds will not be required. Work on site may begin no earlier than June 12 for mobilization and June 19 for roof work. Between award date/Notice to Proceed and June 12, the contractor is expected to submit all shop drawings and submittals and receive approvals from the Engineer.
