Site work for a water / sewer project in Lac La Biche, Alberta. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Construction of a water system to supply safe and reliable water for Heart Lake First Nation. Scope of work includes a new water treatment plant, to be located approx. 500 m south/southwest of the existing plant. The new design will target areas such as organics, manganese, turbidity, and viruses and bacteria. The new water treatment plant will have a treatment process that involves coagulation/flocculation, sedimentation, UF membranes, NF membranes, UV treatment, and chlorination. A residual storage pond should also be constructed and able to hold a minimum of 3 months' worth of residuals. Construction may be phased out. TIMELINE: Detailed design to commence shortly. Request for pre-qualification from general contractors is expected in April, 2025. Further project details and schedules will be confirmed at that time.
